Five Element Yoga® is a potent practice of yoga postures, breathing, mudras, self-massage, meridian-energy channels, meditation, and yoga nidra that realigns you with the rhythms of nature!

Rooted in yoga and yoga therapy practices, Ayurveda, and Traditional Chinese Medicine, this training you will move deeply into Five Element Yoga® practice yourself, while you learn skills to create powerful classes and workshops.

By embodying the five elements with yoga, you will awaken your inner radiance as a yogi, as a teacher, and most importantly, as a human being.

Training Objectives

Ground in the Physical

  • Learn how to guide Five Element Yoga® practices: mudras, pranayama, self-massage, meridians, postures, and guided meditation.
  • Discover the Element that corresponds to each yoga posture, pranayama, mudra, and meridian and learn the powerful effects the elements have on our wellness.
  • Understand and practice wisdom from Ayurveda, yoga philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Experiential Learning

  • Be led in Five Element Yoga® with Jennifer each day to drink in your understanding of the Five Elements.
  • Practice leading simple Five Element Yoga® practices with partners and small groups online.
  • Learn how to bring new tools into your teaching to create powerful themes for your offerings.

Invite the Energetic

  • Explore unique elemental breathing techniques from yoga therapy.
  • Learn how to practice and lead mudras, Ayurvedic self-massage, meridian massage, and acupressure points.
  • Discover how to activate the Five Elements in the energy channels, marma energy points and chakras.

Meet Jennifer

I developed Five Element Yoga® Teacher Training in 2007 to create a roadmap of understanding and practice the Five Elements from traditional sources of Yoga, Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I am committed to offering a comprehensive and accessible teacher certification program focused on experiential learning, education, knowledge, compassion and integrity which imparts the ageless virtues and principles of yogic and Traditional Chinese wisdom.

Day 1

About Five Element Yoga® & Earth Element

 
  • Learn in depth about the Five Elements from Eastern Wisdom as an orientation to our training.
  • Be guided in Five Element Yoga®: yoga postures, rhythmic movement, mudras, breathing, self-massage and guided meditation.
  • Dive into EARTH Element learning, discussion and guided practice to feel Earth in your bones, then prepare and lead a partner in a few Earth practices.

Day 2

Water & Fire Elements Plus Learn Mudras

 
  • Explore WATER Element through learning and discover techniques to guide it.
  • Enjoy guided Water practice, and prepare a short flow to guide a partner.
  • Light up learning and practicing FIRE Element.
  • Find out more about Mudras and why they work.

Practice Five Element Yoga® and lead a short flow with a partner.

Day 3

Air Element & the Energy Body

 
  • Discover the compassion and openness of AIR Element with slides, discussion and guided practice.
  • Create a short Air Element practice and lead it to a partner.
  • Learn about Self-Massage, Energy Anatomy (Chakra wheels, Vayu currents, Meridian channels, and Marma points).

Day 4

Ether Element & How to Take it Home

 
  • Expand your knowledge of ETHER Element and lead a short flow with a partner.
  • Next Steps: Learn about music selection, how to lead Classes, Workshops and online; how to ‘live’ the Five Elements.
  • Graduation and Integration with our circle.
